Every time his show is on PBS, I have to watch Joel. He is a fantastic photographer. I am in such amazement of his work. If you ever want to learn about light, see the light, or understand the light, watch his show. Joel shows you fantastic examples of that in his work using light effectively. On the show, he went to Mt Vernon. The orange glow of the sunrise highlighted the house in ways that few people understand. (let alone appreciate) Check out this image from a rodeo that Joel did.

Beautiful light in Newburyport!
Last night my wife and I went on a date to Newburyport. (The first one in about a year!)
The light was simply fantastic. One of my instuctors from CDIA use to say, "see the light," (I use to think she was crazy. ) But after taking over 15,000 in just over 2 years, I am seeing the light. Look at the beautiful orange glow on my wife. You cannot buy light like that. (Ok, if you bought a light kit and put an orange gel, you might get the same effect.)
After dinner we went down to the water to take pictures of the ships. (The light was still fantastic.) Tiffany could not understand why I was in such awe.

My website
I have changed my main image on my website. I did get quite a lot of positive feed back on the image, I did raise a few eye brows. I am still showing the image on the gallery pages. I still plan on enter the image in some competitions. The original image can be found on the wedding set 2 page. (The first half is another wedding) Here is the new image. I am thinking this is more of what the bride was looking for.
(If you do not know what the orginal image was, scroll down and you will see it on another post)
